Jaap Hengeveld is a marketing-communication adviser, copywriter and publisher. He has produced books on a wide range of subjects, such as ‘Het circus is in de stad’ (Circus in town), a portrait of circus Herman Renz; furthermore, ‘De Munt’ (the Mint), a book on the renovation of the Royal Dutch Mint and the Money Museum, and the book ‘Lekkerland 1956-2006’, a surprising jubilee edition about this international wholesale firm. His book ‘Wie let er op de winkel?’ (Who is minding the shop?) on the last shops in Holland selling across-the-counter received many favourable reviews in newspapers and on radio and TV. Together with architectural photographer Dirk Verwoerd he made a remarkable book on the architecture of an unusual residence: a countryseat called Drakenburg.
